OVERVIEW This webinar provides a broad overview of international education in Australia.
It is ideal for newcomers across all sectors and areas of the industry – from admissions and student support, to marketing and transnational education (TNE).
It will provide an overview of the:
- Origins of the industry
- Key industry bodies
- Key reports and reviews released by the Australian Government
(e.g. the Knight Review, the Chaney Review)
- Important legislation relating to international education
(including the ESOS Act and National Code)
- Current status including enrolment trends, opportunities and challenges
- Future of international education in Australia.
Participants will also receive advice on how they can stay up-to-date with industry developments and extend their networks within the industry.

PRESENTER
- Bronte Neyland, Victoria University
During her 12 years working within the international education industry in Australia, Bronte has managed teams focused on: marketing, communications, recruitment, study abroad and exchange, scholarships and admissions.
Working at two public higher education institutions offering programs ranging from English language to diplomas to degrees to PhDs, Bronte has a comprehensive understanding of the marketing opportunities and challenges facing Australian institutions. Bronte is currently employed as the Associate Director, International Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions, Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia. In this role, she manages a team of approximately 30 staff engaged in international marketing, recruitment and admissions. Bronte convened IEAA's Marketing and Communications Special Interest Group (SIG) for four years until November 2012. Since 2008, she has been a regular presenter of IEAA’s workshops.
