Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) ACER is a leader in the provision of quality educational research, both within Australia and internationally. As a national, independent research body, ACER brings a high level of expertise and objectivity to its work.
Australian Education International AEI has available the following statistical related information on international education activities: Full annual and monthly International student data, including commencements and cessations of enrolments are available for 2002 onwards. The Research snapshot series provides a summary update on current activities and developments in international education research. The Snapshots covers a range of topics relating to data research.
AVETRA AVETRA is Australia’s only national, independent association of researchers in vocational education and training (VET). AVETRA membership is open to any individual who is engaged in, or has an interest in, VET research and its results.
The Centre for the Study of Higher Education (CSHE) CSHE is based at the University of Melbourne and is one of the longest established centres of its kind in the world. CSHE offers leadership in research, development and consultancy in the field of higher education. The Centre has achieved national recognition for its excellent research record and the integration of its contemporary research base into its professional development and consultancy work. Internationally, the CSHE is recognised as a leader in the South-East Asian region. Higher degree research candidates are attracted to the CSHE to undertake PhD and Masters level research into contemporary issues in higher education, in particular, policy-related research.
IDP Since 1969, IDP Education has played a significant role in international education and development. Established in the time of the Colombo Plan, when development aid was the dominant driver of international education, IDP has became a leader in delivering education assistance across the world. IDP supports the Database of International Education Research.
ISANA International Education Association ISANA is the representative body for professionals in Australia and New Zealand who work in international student services, advocacy, teaching and policy development in international education.
LH Martin Institute for Higher Education Leadership and Management The LH Martin Institute for Higher Education Leadership and Management has been established to enhance tertiary education in Australia and New Zealand by providing a suite of programs and activities focused on institutional management and leadership, tailored to the particular needs of the sector.
National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) The National Centre for Vocational Education Research is a not-for-profit company owned by the state, territory and federal ministers responsible for vocational education and training (VET). NCVER's function is to: collect and analyses national VET statistics and survey data; undertake a strategic program of VET research and development; and to communicate the outcomes of its research and data analysis to policy-makers and practitioners.

UNEVOC The UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (UNESCO-UNEVOC) assists UNESCO's 193 member states strengthen and upgrade their TVET systems. It is UNESCO’s specialized Centre for TVET and the hub of a worldwide Network of TVET institutions, the UNEVOC Network.
Universities Australia Universities Australia is the peak body representing the Australian university sector. UA represents 39 universities in the public interest, both nationally and internationally.
English Australia English Australia (EA) is the national peak body and professional association for the ELICOS sector of international education - providers offering English Language Intensive Courses to Overseas Students. EA's membership comprises 106 colleges representing 133 NEAS accredited centres.
Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) is Australia’s regulatory and quality agency for higher education. TEQSA’s primary aim is to ensure that students receive a high quality education at any Australian higher education provider.
VOCEDplus VOCEDplus is a free research database for tertiary education, especially as it relates to workforce needs, skills development, and social inclusion. It encompasses vocational education and training (VET), higher education, adult and community education, informal learning, and VET in Schools.
