Marketing, recruitment and communication practices are constantly evolving in international education.
This SIG provides a valuable forum to disseminate relevant information, discuss issues impacting the industry, and participate in professional development workshops specific to marketing and recruitment.
Membership is open to IEAA members and non-members.
- To deliver professional development opportunities for communications, marketing and recruitment professionals across all sectors of the industry.
- To encourage discussion and debate regarding issues impacting our industry
- To disseminate relevant information and resources to members
- To encourage interested members to actively contribute to the SIG by developing an organisational model that facilitates diverse contributions.
Anna McLeod, Convener
Anna is Team Leader – Business Development at Navitas Professional, where she specialises in international recruitment as well as engaging with universities, professional bodies, student associations and government. Previously she has worked for the Victorian Government and at the University of Melbourne. Anna has a Master of International Relations and her passions include public speaking, identifying alternative marketing channels and alumni engagement.
Andrés Bayer, Deputy Convener
Andrés has over 15 years experience in tertiary education marketing and recruitment and is currently Regional Manager for South-East Asia at RMIT University. He is passionate about international education and mobility, marketing and recruitment, strategic planning and business development. He is very interested in bringing together industry professionals in order to discuss and exchange ideas on marketing and recruitment.
Arfa Noor, Deputy Convener
Arfa’s involvement in international education started as a founding member and inaugural committee representative for the Council of International Students Australia (CISA) in 2010 and then the CISA President in 2011. As a Regional Marketing Manager at Griffith University, she has gained valuable experience and insight in building a university’s brand in emerging markets and the student recruitment process.
